Good evening all and welcome to episode 16 of Season 9. We will have #17
next week, and then episode #200 will be Mar. 12, comprising the 18th episode of
this year, and that leaves but 5 more to be spread through April and May. So
here's a short prayer that between this week and next, we can resolve the
matters of Sadik and Clay, and move ahead to more Harm-Mac coming together.
We open with: JAG HQ and the judge questioning Mac and Harm as to why the
diamond case from several eps ago is still on her docket. She orders them to
collect the diamonds from the bank which they go to do. They walk out the
parking lot and Harm gets into his Vette. It does not start. He opens the hood,
jiggles the battery and there is some sort of explosion. Mac hurries to his
side and he says he can't hear her, can't hear anything.
AJ talking to Mac and Harm and Bud, saying Harm will be hospitalized
overnight. Bud will sub on the case for him; Sturgis will check with Harm about what
needs to be covered. He and Jen go to the hosp. Harm is worried about Mattie
finding out--he doesn't want her to worry. They write on a slate to
communicate with him. Mac and Bud are collecting the diamonds from the bank safe
deposit box.
The register shows that the CIA diamond guy--VanDyne--has been into the box
which of course is empty.
Mattie visits Harm and says a prayer asking for God to watch after him.
Mattie says she's staying home from school tomorrow to take care of Harm at home.
Mac and Bud at Quantico with Lt. Maravelis who tells them VanDyne was selling
the diamonds on his own. "I'm dating one of your Agents, at least I would be
if he was ever here," Mac demands of the CIA supervisor. She wants to know
where Clay is, and reports what she knows about VanDyne. He says VanDyne is
dead but no diamonds were found. I'm betting 'dating' is more of a cover story
than any kind of romantic venture. Next week maybe we'll know.
Mac knocking at Harm's door with loud music playing. Mattie from down the
hall tells her to go in. Mac turns down music and Harm asks her to speak up.
She explains what's happened and that she suspects Sadik is there, responsible
for the battery etc. He starts to get up and falters from the inner ear
causing dizziness. She grabs him--you OK? Nice bit of worry. "Have you talked
to Webb?" he asks. "Undisclosed location" she replies and Harm smiles and says
"Helluva boyfriend you picked there." "Don't look so happy about it," she
replies. Nice Harm look of guilt at her observation and enter Mattie. Mac
leaves, saying quietly to Mattie, take care of him for me will you." Another
nice line.
Mac and Bud find some of the diamonds and that many are missing. Mac goes to
her place sees it wrecked and searched and draws her gun. On her bed is a
lone diamond.
Sadik calls Mac at home and reminds her he's nearby. Veiled threats and he
hangs up on her.
Harm and Mattie playing scrabble. With Jen. Enter Mac who asks to see Harm
alone. Mac tells him Sadik is here and he called her. What do you want me to
do? Be careful--he may not look like these pictures. You're the one you
needs to be careful. He's seducing you. He wants something from you and he may
have found your weakness--that you want him. "Where are you going--I'm
coming with you. You can't help Harm and you're still a liability. She starts
out the door and he calls a very firm "be careful" after him. She looks back at
him for a long moment and then goes.
JAG HQ with Sturgis and Bud listening to Varice's concert. AJ tells them
Sturgis will take over prosecution with Mac becoming a witness.
Mac drives into an area of DC populated by Mid Easterners to look for Sadik,
whom we see in disguise and killing a young man who had been helping him. He
then calls Mac and they exchange more threats and intentions. Then the blonde
Sadik comes to her, asks if he can use the chair beside her, vanishes and
calls her as Sadik. Just a total chase game--cat and mouse here. He instructs
her to walk out with him.
They go to his place and she takes off her coat and purse. She takes the gun
from her purse and offers to allow to be searched. They argue about women,
the future, headgear etc. She asks to use the bathroom and finds the body of
the guy he killed.
And in a total change of mood and scene, Bud tries to reach Mikey again this
week; then calls Harm who can now hear well enough to answer the phone. He
tells Bud he feels fine and Mattie kind of slinks out--guess she doesn't feel as
needed any more. I think they're heading for Mattie wanting to go back to
her dad at some point--girls this age want the world to revolve around them and
Harm's life is just way full, too much so to do that.
Sadik and Mac talking about what he wants. He orders her to make tea like a
good Muslim woman would. He tells her she's pretending to be a woman, living
a barren life without husband and children. He wants to purify her soul and
have her live up to her Middle Eastern heritage. Very talky scene here. He
is planning a terrorist nightclub bombing and tells her that he can strike
anywhere he wants. He's getting a nuclear weapon triggering device. But won't
tell her from where. 10 minutes to the nightclub attack. She begs to know how
she can stop him and they hear

sirens outside. They evacuate the club.
He pulls his weapon on her and she attacks him. Hand to hand fighting. She
beats on him and they continue to fight. Violently. She shoots him in the
shoulder--says that was for Harm. Then she kills him and says this is for
Clayton Webb. Enter the

and the CIA boss. She apologizes for killing him
before they could learn about the trigger but as she's walking out she
says--I'm not sorry.
PREVIEWS: Dealing with the fall out from tonight. Clay is there, arm
around Mac, several flashes of upset Mac, worried Harm, Mac pushing Harm away from
her etc. Everyone say a joint prayer for this to turn in Harm-Mac favor!!
REACTION: About time we had an episode that wasn't afraid to deal with some
bit of the connection between Mac and Harm. If we can establish that Clay and
Mac are not involved romantically next week, we have hope for a good shipper
finale coming up this spring. Sigh.
