Voici les Shippermoments de Pat

Good evening all after 2 JAG-less weeks.  Welcome to Episode 19 of Season 9,
with 4 left to go.  I'm holding out NO shipper hope for this one however based
on spoilers so if something good happens between Mac and Harm I'll be
pleasantly surprised.

We open at JAG HQ in the courtroom, with Mac successfully prosecuting the
defendant on several charges.  The defendant, when taken into custody, confronts
Mac.  Words are exchanged and she punches Mac.  Now why is Harm not there to
at least help her up??  

One month later, the Private is being prosecuted for assault on Mac with
Sturgis the attorney.  She's sentenced to Miramar brig and Mac requests a new
escort, saying that the current one can't control Boyer.  Request denied.

Meanwhile Harm and Bud are sent to Norfolk to respond to a complaint from an
HIV positive Senior Chief that he's not being allowed to serve after a
bleeding incident may have exposed a sailor to the disease.

Mac ends up being assigned as the prisoner escort.  They're flying commercial
and changing planes in Cleveland.  Boyer wants to use the bathroom and Mac
escorts her into a stall.  When Mac is distracted helping a traveler with her
bags, Boyer vanishes.  They're just about to shut down the airport when Mac
finds her in the smoking lounge.

Harm and Bud question the  officer who told the petty officer there was a
chance of HIV passing on.  He refuses to reinstate the Sr. Chief.

Mac and Boyer miss their flight and are ordered to leave the airport so they
get a motel room together.

Harm and Bud ask how the Sr Chief was infected.  He was shot and transfused
with tainted blood when he was serving in Africa.  Much concern about letting
the word get out.  His wife especially doesn't want it known.  Maybe it was she
who gave it to him.

Switch to Mac and Boyer.  Cleveland is her hometown and she has a 5 year old
daughter living in the area whom she's not seen in a good while.  She asks Mac
if she has kids or wants kids--not your business Mac tells her.  Just wanted
to see if you could relate she says---would you take me to see my little girl
she asks.  Mac says it's against regs but asks her if she was planning to see
her when she ran off.  She doesn't answer.  The look on Mac's face was
interesting as they both went back to bed.  Talk of a baby....thoughts of Harm--my
opinion!!

Mac ends up taking her to the dad's home.  Sharona is the child's name.  
MONK!!  Never mind.  But I love that show.  Anyway, Boyer sees Sharona, watches
her color.  The child is scared--it's been 2 years.  As they get ready to leave
for the airport, Mac discovers she had taken some prescription medication from
the home and demands to know if she was planning suicide.

And at this halfway point it's pretty obvious there's no way Mac and Harm are
going to have a scene together.  Which I understand has to do with DJE having
had to work on What If that he directed while this was being filmed.  
Fine--but if he can be on camera with Bud, he could surely have had even just a small
scene with Mac.  And this has been an editorial comment.

Mac and Boyer argue about the pills, and she denies being suicidal.  They
discuss rage and

The Sr. Chief confesses to Harm that his wife is also HIV pos.  The plot
thickens.

Enter Meredith.  Jen lets her into AJ's office.  He at first wants nothing to
do with her, tells her not to fall on her sword, no cliches, and no scenes
from a bad movie.  She tells AJ Alesandro was married and she doesn't deserve
any man.  She confesses to having sabotaged 4 other relationships and that she's
self-destructive.  AJ says he had been so in love with her he was
overlooking.  She leaves and AJ tells Jen she did the right thing letting her in and that
he's sure he did the right thing with Meredith.

Mac and Boyer again miss their flight.  Another night in the motel.  Boyer
talks about her childhood, which seems to start Mac thinking about hers and she
invites Boyer to ask her for help.  Mac takes her for a makeover after she had
been saying how ugly she was because her mom told her that all the time.

Bud runs down the doctor who treated the sr chief who doesn't recall giving
him a blood transfusion.

Mac and Boyer have breakfast together and Boyer is ill on the floor.  Mac
takes her for medical treatment where the doctor asks her if she's used heroin in
the last hour.

I would at this point speculate that some people are going to watch this
episode and criticize Mac's competency in escorting the prisoner; and decry that
she's had some compassion for the young woman.  I myself think there's time to
be a Marine and time to be a woman who can care and empathize.

She denies drug use--and the doctor realizes she may have OD'd--on poppy
seeds from her several breakfast muffins.  Which also goes back to her initial
drug use arrest where she had eaten bagels.  Some individuals are extremely
sensitive to the seeds apparently.

Harm and Bud question Sr Chief's wife about drug use, sexual history etc.  
She is the source of the HIV.

Mac reports to the Colonel regarding Boyer who orders her to continue to
Miramar and tells her to appeal from there.

Harm and Bud tell Sr. Chief his wife had HIV prior to marriage.  She infected
him, not the other way.

AJ intercedes for Boyer with the Colonel and tells him to reconsider charges.
He refuses but AJ requests he allow him to present the evidence.

Sr. Chief is at Bethesda and happy, treating HIV.  He and his wife are
divorcing.

Mac testifies for Boyer and also wishes her assault charge be vacated.  Bud
defends and Boyer's sentence is reduced to one year.   Plus she has a picture
drawn by her daughter.  The happy ending all around.

REACTION:  Not a lot to comment on.  I just find it unconscionable that with
the amount of time DJE managed to appear in this episode that there was not a
single Mac-Harm contact.  My comment about Mac thinking of Harm was a stretch
of course, but I'm staying with it.

No Previews.  As I recall the next new one is Apr 30, starting the run of 4
to finish the season.

bon, ben on passe à autre chose, et vite .... à non, quatre semaines avant le prochain? Ben tant pis, je vais mettree coté

le seul moment un peu fort de l'épisode, c'est AJ Meredith, que je mettrai en ligne, mais sinon il n'y a rien de rien de rien dans cet épisode d'une platitude à désespérer, sans aucune surprise , RIEN !!!

Moi j'ai plutôt passé un agréable moment. Je ne dis pas que j'ai sauté de joie à la fin mais bon...ça se laissait regarder...

L'histoire B avec Bud et Harm par contre...mouais... un peu gros et dès l,apparition de la femme, je me suis doutée qu'elle était à la base de tt ça... A croire que cette histoire B n'était là que pour justifier un peu de présence de DJE à l'écran qui, effectivement n'avait pas trop l'air de s'éclater ( ceci dit, le sujet n'était pas tordant non plus ! )

Mais c'est vrai qu'après What if...c'est un peu hard ( time !   )

En ce qui concerne Mac et sa prisonnière, je pense que le sujet aurait mérité un épisode intégral. Pas sur le pourquoi du comment elle a été testée + à l'usage d'héroïne mais plutôt pour l'intéraction entre Mac et elle. Certains passages étaient intéressants puisque Mac pouvait se retrouver dans certains aspects de la personnalité de Boyer. Mais, cela a été trop survolé...  La relation entre les 2 n'a pas été approfondie et c'est dommage...Mac a toujours des problèmes mais semble en avoir maintenant conscience notament quand elle dit à Boyer que sa rage peut la détruire et qu'elle sait de quoi elle parle.

Mais encore une fois, cet épisode aurait plus eu sa place à la suite de Take It Like A Man plutôt que What if...

Pour AJ et Meredith, la scène était très émouvante avec un JMJ tout en finesse...En tt cas, moi il m'a beaucoup émue...Mais à votre avis ? En a-t-on réellement fini avec Meredith Je pensais que oui mais avec le dernier commentaire de Coates...connaissant DPB...j'ai des doutes...c'est un peu comme le YET de Harm...

En conclusion...un épisode qui ne rentrera pas dans les anales mais certainement meilleur que certains de la saison 8...

NB : Mon esprit tordu a tout de même relevé qu'à l'aéroport, avant un gros plan sur Mac, nous avons un gros plan sur une affiche où il est écrit Harmony... LOL je vous avait bien dit que j'étais tordue !!

A noter également pour la 1ère fois de la saison...je pense ( à part What If )...le nom de Clayton Webb n'est pas mentionné une seule fois !

Je n'ai pas vu l'épisode . Mais d'après le résumé, Meredith vient voir AJ pour s'expliquer et Aj dit à Jen qu'elle a bien fait de la laisser rentrer et lui ce qu'il a fait. Croyez vous qu'il y a une chance que Aj et Mredith se remettent ensemble ou Aj a fait un trait absolu sur Meredith. C'est dommage car elle était sympathique........

Selon AJ, il a tiré un trait sur elle .... mais .... je ne sais plus exactement ce que fait Jen comme réflexion, certains trouvent que ça peut laiser présager quelque chose ....

L'Amiral dit "you did the right thing" à propos de Jen qui s'est permis de laisser entrer Meredith; Jen lui demande "did you?" et AJ répond "Yeah" donc j'ai bien l'impression qu'il ne reviendra pas sur sa parole; sait-on jamais...Reste que ce moment était très émouvant.

J'ai trouvé que l'épisode se regardait; comme l'a souligné Mimi, Mac a dû très certainement se retrouver dans certains comportements de sa prisonnière; ce qui est intéressant, c'est qu'elle garde son calme à chaque fois que Boyer la provoque, elle éprouve même de la compassion.

J'ai trouvé bizarre que Mac ne soit pas plus marquée après le coup de poing magistral qu'elle se prend au tribunal au début de l'épisode.

Quant aux scènes avec Bud et Harm, je me suis un peu ennuyée, j'ai quelque peu décroché; il faut peut-être que je visionne l'épisode une deuxième fois.

Il s'est passé un mois entre l'agression de Mac par Boyer et le retour au tribunal.

Je suppose que Mac a eu le temps de guérir...

Oui j'ai trouvé particulièrement "riche" et je dois dire que le jeu des perso m'a touché.
On ne voit pas souvent l'Amiral ainsi et je trouve ça dommage.

c'était un super épisode basée sur le personage de mac je trouve, elle a super bien réussi a s'en tirer avec le marines.
