Voici les Shippermoments de Pat
=======
Good evening all and welcome to episode 8 of Season 10. Please note that
last week I had my numbering system confused and "Camp Delta" was in fact episode
7. This is 8, there will be #9 in 2 weeks, followed by #10 which is the
Christmas story. Which early spoilers are promising max shipper. Don't hold your
breath, but don't stop hoping either.
This would seem to be a Jennifer Coates episode but surely there will be some
other good stuff. I like Jen a lot, but it's not for her that I watch, nor
Bud, nor Cresswell nor Sturgis!!
Also, on ET tonight, they had interviews with DJE and CB. DJE pointed out
that you can get a clue about the future of the show by gauging how fast Mac and
Harm seem to be progressing. If it's not coming back in Fall, things will
start clicking pretty fast. And if it is, they'll click more slowly he said.
Interesting. CB weighed in with her opinion that if it happens it won't be
until the final episode. Now I would say she's talking about a wedding or some
other kind of fulfillment. Obviously they can't go from zero to wedding in one
episode. So we might be in store for a really shipper second half for this
season, or one in which we just get hints of what will be next season. DJE's
contract is also in question but that didn't come up this week.
We open with: Harm's apartment building, and Jen arriving home, coming up in
the elevator. Pia is the girl's name who was waiting for Jen. She asks if
she can stay with Jen and says she's changed.
JAG HQ in pouring rain. Harm tells Jen she was up late last night and that
he heard them laughing. Mac teased Harm about not having to pay Mattie's share
of Jen's rent any more and he goes the thought never crossed my mind. Always
good to see them in a bit of light hearted banter.
Harm's place and Pia walking through the unlocked door. She flirts a
little, talking to Harm while Jen back at her place is looking around through her
things. Pia tries to find out from Harm if he keeps a gun in the apartment but
he doesn't bite. Pia then discovers Jen's checking and they talk about their
past as shoplifters. Pia says she's met Harm and Jen hastily reminds her
that he's her Officer in Charge. Pia has bruises and Jen wants to know from
what. Abusive boyfriend she says. Was in jail, came out angry, made her turn
tricks.
Jen agrees that Pia can stay. Now when did this turn to be the Jennifer
Coates hour I'm not sure. Pia hugs her in gratitude and there's a bit of a gay
overtone to the scene. Or it's just me. Leaving it open for now.
JAG HQ next morning. Pia meets Mac, who before that realized Jen is having
hang over affects. Pia and Jen talk dinner plans and she sharply tells Jen she
does not want to go out.
And we go to Bud's case about a civilian who hitched a ride in the back of a
fighter jet and we'll not stay there.
Jen's place, Pia showering and phone ringing. Someone named Carla calls Jen
about plans for tonight and Jen ignores the message. Jen invites her to join
her tonight when she meets up with some friends but she declines.
More Bud. In case no one could tell, I'm not a Bud fan, I resent time taken
up with Bud stories that could be Mac-Harm interaction and I'm totally tired
of the whole Roberts Family. Taking a breath now.
Arrival of Vince, Jen's ex, also Pia's guy and he's looking frantically for
Pia. He forces a kiss on Jen, says to tell Pia he'll be waiting for her and
storms out, leaving Jen in tears. Vince took an envelope from Pia's things.
She was hiding in the closet during the assault.
Next morning Harm is talking to Jen when the

arrive to accuse her of
Vince's murder. Harm at once leaps to her defense, says she's not going to
answer any questions etc. Jen and Harm being questioned separately.
Professional and platonic Harm tells the detective when asked about his relationship with
Jen. Jen and Pia look enough alike, especially with Pia wearing one of Jen's
borrowed uniforms to make mistaken ID pretty easy. Pia has disappeared.
Finally we see Mac working with Bud. There's not been much Harm, and even
less of her.
Harm tells Jen that he's talked to Mac about being her attorney, and is
concerned that the hair they found on Vince's body could well be hers from Vince's
contact with her.
Jen goes to find Pia at some fleabag motel, and Harm worries where she is.
Jen traces Pia to Union Station as Harm calls her cell phone, calling her
Jennifer instead of Coates. Big Brother I guess. Jen finds Pia in the restroom
where she pulls a gun. She's planning to leave the city and take Jen with her.
Enter Harm who heard the PA announcement in the background figuring out where
she was. Pia admits to Jen she killed Vince and Jen attacks her. They
scuffle and Pia runs for the subway platform. Harm catches up with Jen as Pia
escapes on a train. We see Jen and Harm clearing things up with the

as Pia
hitches out of town having changed her look. The end.
REACTION: Except for the cute bit at the start, no Mac-Harm time, and way
too much Bud and of course a huge lot of Jen time. Sometimes I wonder if DB is
entertaining the notion of continuing JAG post-DJE/CB with Bud as the main
character. If so he'll be doing it without me. The Bud case was distracting to
the main Jen plot but then it was pretty hard to get invested in either one.
And this from someone who likes Jen normally!
Better luck in 2 weeks, which by the way, the previews look to have a LOT of
Mac-Harm time. We shall hang our hat there.
