Le fait que Mac vienne témoigner devant le juge pour Harm, je crois que c'est une preuve que cet ép sera centré sur l'amitié H/M.
Par contre, j'ai hâte d'assister à la rencontre entre Mac et Mattie.

J'ai comme l'impression que Mattie va etre un peu jalouse de Mac, et que Harm devra repondre a tout un tas de questions que lui-meme n'aime pas se poser. Du genre : elle a ete ta petite amie ?  Tu veux qu'elle le soit ?... Ca va etre tres drole.
Mais j'anticipe, ca se trouve, tout va bien se passer entre elles !  Ca serait pas mal non plus.

Et pourquoi pas le contraire... Mac jalouse de Mattie... Aprés tout Harm va passer beaucoup de temps avec Mattie et il "délaissera"  Mac... Oh je ne la plains pas ! Elle a eu sa chance, mais n'a pas su ou voulu la saisir

Ils jouent encore à leur jeu favori : faire semblant de s'intéresser à quelqu'un d'autre... Sauf que dans ce cas de figure pour Harm, il ne s'agit pas d'une petite amie... Et il ne fait pas semblant ! Son attachement pour Mattie semble profond et je pense qu'il a enfin trouvé quelqu'un qui a besoin de lui... quelqu'un qui se raccroche à lui. Ce que Mac ne semble pas avoir compris, c'est qu'il a besoin de cela, il a besoin du sentiment d'être là pour quelqu'un, de compter pour cette personne...(arf ! Où sont ces maudites pilules roses ?!) Bon enfin je pense que Mac devrait se montrer un peu plus 'fragile" de temps en temps. N'oublions pas que Monsieur Rabb est un brin macho N'a-til pas volé au secours de sa belle faisant fi des objections de l'Amiral ? Tel un preux chevalier ? C'est un homme et les hommes ont besoin de savoir( pour leur équilibre mental je suppose ) que la sécurité et le bien-être  d'une femme reposent sur leurs larges épaules

Et c'est la tout le probleme !! On se souvient de ce qu'a dit Mac dans le 9 01 : Qu'ils veulent tous les 2 etre celui qui domine (ou un truc comme ca). Rabb aimerait une femme qui puisse se reposer sur lui (peut etre) et Mac ne veut absolument pas devoir dependre d'un homme (peur d'etre decue, de souffrir...)

J'aimerais quand meme que dans cet episode, on retrouve tout le monde, dans une ambiance chaleureuse.
Si Harm et Mac ne peuvent etre de bons amants, qu'ils soient bons amis et voila tout ! (c'est a contre coeur que je dis cette derniere phrase)

Quel épisode Mesdames et Messieurs!

Sincèrement, je dois dire que j'ai adoré. L'histoire, très jolie, on en a su un peu plus sur Turner et on a découvert qu'il avait un coeur.

Ensuite, Harm et Mattie. Je dois dire que même si j'avais peur de ce que ça allait donner, le résultat est très bon. On voit que Mattie considère vraiment Harm comme son gardien et non autre chose.

Finalement, Harm et Mac. Mon dieu, on a entendu parler du deal! OUi oui! Harm va voir Mac pour lui demander de venir témoigner pour ses compétences parentales et Mac lui rappelle qu'elle a confiance en lui par rapport à ça car elle a accepté qu'il soit le père de son enfant.


Par contre, la finale m'a vraiment déçu. Un seul mot pour décrire la fin: WEBB! Mac va voir Harm au Mur des vétérans de la guerre du Vietnam avec Mattie et explique à notre Flyboy comment elle a réussi à convaincre le père de Mattie. Et Harm lui demande ce qu'elle fait, et elle dit qu'elle a rendez-vous avec Webb!

L'épisode était très très shipper et ils finissent avec Mac qui s'en va rejoindre Webb! FRanchement! L'art de gâcher un épisode qui allait pourtant bien...

Voici les shippermoments de Pat

Good evening all and welcome to Episode 11 of Season 9.  If JAG is good to
its word and makes only 22, we'll be half way through at the conclusion. Now
someone more cynical than I would add--and Harm and Mac are no closer.  But I
don't believe that.  Yes Clay is still in Mac's life, but she and Harm are on the
same page with that small annoying exception.  Meaning that they're getting
along, they're able to relate, able to tease and talk and bring up things and
not cause distance.

Now hopefully what we're about to see won't make me out a liar.

I understand there's going to be a good bit of Sturgis in this one.  And
while I do love the guy, my interest in him-and Mattie too for that matter--begins
and ends in so far as can they help facilitate Mac and Harm finding their way
to each other.

Open with Mattie and Harm at Grace Aviation talking about their court
appearance.  Enter a gentlemen who announces he's going to take possession of the
property in 2 days.  He blows back out again.  Like a villain in a Perils of
Pauline movie--he's going to foreclose on the mortgage or something.  Now the
location they gave is Blacksburg Va. which is 246 miles from Washington DC.  But
Harm manages to drive down there whenever he's of a mind.  Sorry--can't resist
that dig!  I've been to Blacksburg from DC--took 3 solid hours, speeding, not
stopping, no traffic.

Mattie explains she'd been having business problems, and that she has turned
15 in the meantime.  She didn't tell him--says people always let you down.  
The business has been sold at auction but the house is still hers.

Back at JAG, Mac asks Harriet if she's OK about the USO show.  Sturgis and
Mac talk about his dad doing the Xmas eve service.  Jen informs AJ that
Meredith's gift was lost in a truck fire--she's in Italy and he had sent her a PDA.  
She offers to help.

Harriet and Bud discuss her involvement in the entertainment--he's not a
happy camper.

Enter Sturgis's dad to talk to AJ who asks him to perform the marriage at the
Naval Academy chapel in May.

Harm and court appointed rep talking about how Harm will care for her--where
she'll live, how she'll go to school, arrangements for her care when he
travels etc.  Have you ever been married?  Do you have a significant other--are you
gay?  No.  Do you have anyone in your life?  No.  Hard to believe she says.  
"Well it confounds me at times too" he says with a laugh.  Many more questions
back and forth.  Including why.  Affection he replies.  "It's acceptable if
you say love Commander, and I need to speak to someone close to you who can
vouch for your suitability" she tells him.  This would be where Mac comes in.  
Love 'close to you' there.

JAG HQ--Jen talks to AJ about gifts for Meredith and Ch Turner goes into
Sturgis's office.  Jen has no Xmas plans she tells him.  Sturgis meets his singer,
Varese is her name.  Instant attraction.  Likely we'll see them kiss tonight.
The only way we'll see Mac and Harm touch is if one trips over the other's
foot.

Sturgis and his dad go to see her sing.  She's a jazz singer. Dad goes home
and Sturgis and Varese walk. And talk about dad's.  She's a PK [preacher's kid]
too.  And of course they link arms.  And walk in the snow and kiss.  What we
wouldn't give to see Harm grab Mac and kiss her like that.

Mac's Apt.  And the following ensues:

H--I need you to vouch for me.  

M--In love or war.  

H--As a family man.

M--Hmmm..when was the last time you called your mother.

H--I don't remember.

M--So we've established that you're a lousy son.

H--What kind of a parent do you think I'd make?

M--Well I did once agree to your fathering my child if you remember.

H--If neither of us had someone in 5 years.

M--We're almost there.

[He sits down next to her]  Something has come up Mac

M--Another woman [she looks confused]

H--A child.  I'm petitioning the state of Virginia for the custody of a minor
and I need for you to vouch for me.

M--How long have you known you were going to do this?

H--A few months

M--And this is the first I'm hearing about it?

H--Hey you moved on.  I didn't think you'd be interested.

M--Of all the dumb things you've said to me in 8 years, that is the dumbest.

H--Mac I don't want to argue about us right now.

M--There is no us.

H--Yeah you made sure of that.

M--Well you didn't fight me.

H--Look there's a little girl who needs someone to watch over her.

M--So you've decided to take that responsibility.

H--What, you have a problem with that?

M--No I have a problem with you cutting me out of your life until you need
something.

H--Forget about it--it's too important for you to screw up.

And she looks at him leave in amazement, hurt, confusion etc.
 

Harm's Apt and the home inspection.  Lots of hard questions to which Harm
does not know the answers to some, like sleeping arrangements for the child.  He
protests he's playing catch up and it's all happening fast.  Social Worker
says he'd better have better answers in court.

Jen and AJ again and Meredith's Christmas.  He tells her he's happy for the
first time in years.

Harm's Apt.  Enter Mattie.  Her dad is back she says.  She drove to DC.  Her
dad is going to fight for her.

Court now.  Judge and Mattie before the judge, who says matter is complicated
now by Mr. Johnson's return.  Judge questions him about where he has been
etc.  Mattie objects that he caused the accident that killed her mom--drunk
driving.  He pleads his case, almost in tears.

Mattie says no way dad can make things up to her.  She won't forgive him for
the drunk driving.  She wants to go with Harm.  Harm says he lost his dad and
wants to be a father for her, and won't ever leave her alone in this world
again.

Johnson still wants his child.  Enter Mac--Harm is in shock, and stares.  
Almost a smile.  A character witness to be heard the bailiff announces.

The judge asks Mac to speak.  "Your honor I've been a colleague of Commander
Rabb's for 8 years.  I have the highest level of respect for his honor and
integrity."  Judge asks about him being a parent.  "Highly Suitable" she replies
and details some examples such as Darlyn, Josh, etc.  "I've given a lot of
thought to the kind of man I'd want to be the father if my children if I ever..."
She gets tearful here and adds, "Commander Rabb is that kind of man.  I
can't prove it, I can only state without reservation that he is up to the job."

Just like married people--you fight, you part, and you come back. Sigh.  It's
called love.  And she has repaid him for Paraguay here tonight.

Mac says she's known him 8 years and

She sits down, almost in tears.  Harm just looks at her in amazement.

Judge says Harm's lack of experience and professional duties make him
questionable and she's going to take the whole thing of Harm and her dad under
advisement.  Meanwhile Mattie goes to foster care.

Xmas Eve service.==

Harm and Mattie sitting together.  Mac with AJ.  Harriet, Bud, Mikey etc.  
Ch. Turner's sermon.  Mac looks over to Harm and Mattie who slips her hand into
his.  This is really good.  Mac is seeing a whole new side to Harm.  Wow.  
She's still sniffling a bit.

"You won't forget me," Mattie asks.  "You kidding?" he replies.  She wants
him to come visit and he promises she will.

Mattie looks back in good-bye as Harm watches.  Mac is walking behind him and
then goes to speak with Mattie's dad.  Mattie exits the car at Mac's request.
As one alcoholic to another she asks to speak to him.

Sturgis and dad talking.  Scenes of the USO tour in Baghdad.

Varese addresses the troops in Iraq--very very well done scene.

Harm at the Wall.  Enter Mattie. With Mac.  Who has talked her dad out of
trying to fight for Mac, and for now she's Harm's unless and until her dad gets
his life together.  What a sweet look of gratitude Harm gives her as he hugs
Mattie.

"Good night," she says.

Harm looks surprised--where are you going?"

"I have a date with Webb" she says.  Webb, not Clay or Clayton.  Plus she
really obviously does not want to go--at least that's what I want to believe.  
And that's where it ends, with her turning to go.  It sounded from her like more
an obligation than a desire.  Now obligation to a commitment to see him and
obligation to their relationship maybe....but what if she's working with him
again??  This was my writing partner's theory, since we talk during the hour
that is JAG--but I'm throwing it out here.  Why not.  Could explain a lot.

REACTION:  Hope lives.  The connection is there and asserting itself hard and
fast.  Yes they argued and bitterly.  I adore and cherish my husband but we
do exactly that--often.  It's if you can forgive and make up that counts. It's
called love.

c'est marrant, je viens de voir que trois personnes ont noté l'épisode et qu'apparemment ce n'est pas l'euphorie.

Pourtant ce matin, j'ai "discuté" plus d'une heure avec mes amies Blue Angels, elles étaient ravies, meme si elles auraient préféré que la dernière répartie de Mac soit absente, mais bon, Dancer ou manette, des shippers dans l'ame pour ceux qui lisent le HB, voyaient la vie en rose et judi, qui était shipper comme moi, c'est à dire de loin par temps de bruoillard si ca permet à Harm d'etre heureux et de prendre du bon temps, était elle aussi très contente de l'épisode

Je n'ai encore pas lu les listes US, ni meme Pat, je ne veux pas etre plus spoilée que ce que j'ai lu ce matin, wait and see .....

Webb en ce moment c'est l'Arlésienne, on en parle beaucoup mais qu'est-ce-qu'il fait, à part nous pourrir la vie?
Ca y est  ma journée est fichue  je dis ça presque sans rire
je vais finir par ne plus lire les spoilers ...encore la valse hésitation... même si il y a de nouveaux ingrédients dans la série, DPB and Co nous la gâchent avec ces atermoiements. qu'ils choisissent, enfin...
On aimerait voir ces deux grandes personnes se comporter de façon cohérente...

Une shipper désabusée qui va finir par souhaiter que cette histoire se termine vite pour qu'on passe à autre chose avec Harm.. moi qui résistais de toutes mes forces aux arguments de Brigitte sur cette relation...( )

C'est étrange mais j'ai eu une impression différente .
C'est vrai, je ne suis pas shipper, même par temps de brouillard!

Oui il y a des scènes émouvantes entre H et Mac, entre H et Mattie aussi d'ailleurs, des scènes qui sonnaient "vraies" ... mais je ne suis pas certaine qu'elles soient aussi shippers qu'elles n'y paraissent.

Je vais essayer d'éclaicir mes idées et repasse plus tard, je ne veux pas "spoiler" Brigitte...

Ah ! non non non !  C'est moi qui n'a pas le moral normalement en lisant les spoilers !  
Allez ! Moi je suis sûre que tout ve s'arranger, je ne sais pas comment, mais je le sens bien cette fois !
C'est drôle d'habitude les spoilers m'envoyent au 4ème sous-sol, mais celui-là (l'épisode) me plaît assez !
 Et, en plus j'avais vraiment rien compris au départ, parce que j'avais complétemment oublié cet épisode, donc en lisant le message en VO, je cherchais partout l'histoire à propos de la disparition d'AJ !  Enfin ça y est, le pendules sont à l'heure...
M'enfin, il m'a l'air sympa cet épisode !
Ah oui, j'oubliais : Il l'adopte finalement Mattie ou elle retourne avec son père ? (ou je suis encore à l'ouest ?   ). Merci
